Membership is open to any person or organization supporting our mission, without regard to where a person or organization is located. Members include many businesses, professionals, service providers, commercial property owners, neighborhood associations and others.
History
In 2003, a group of property owners began meeting to address the need for planning for the future of the Southland business community. In October 2004 The Southland Association was formed as a non-profit corporation. Membership recruitment efforts and surveys revealed that priorities of business and property owners were to increase the visibility and viability of Southland, making it an attractive, safe and welcoming area to shop, eat, and do business. By joining together, we have the ability to work with private and public entities for improvements and promotion of Southland.
